NFL Picks 9/16-9/17 2007

This is a tough week & tougher lines but here goes.

1) Steelers -9 1/2 over Buffalo in Pittsburg. So far Buffalo has an anemic offense & that was at home. Pittsburg is better than most know. Big line, but I'll Take Steelers.

2) Bengals -7 over Browns in Cleveland. No Brainer. BENGALS

3) Colts -7 over Titans in Tennessee. Tennesse rushed for over 280+ yards against the Jags & will test the Colts new look defense. Titans will cover. I'll take Titans.

4) Panthers -6 1/2 over Texans in Carolina. Tough pick. Panthers looked much better than expected, but Texans looked great against a bad Chiefs team. Reluctantly, I'll take Panthers.

5) Rams -3 over 49ers in St Louis. The Rams played awful last week & got eaten up on the ground AGAIN. The 49ers coming off last minute victory on Monday night. Great test to see if 49ers let down after big win or build momentum. Also, good setup to see if signing Nate Clements can stop Rams passing attack. Roll the dice, I'll take 49ers.

6) Giants -1 1/2 over Packers in Jersey. DOG OF THE WEEK. UGH!!!!!!! Packers won with the gift of Eagles' Special teams, & did not score an offensive touchdown. On the other hand the Giants defense is wretched. Giants scored 35 last week, but is Eli Manning playing & if so how healthy? Can Jared LOrenzen win a game anywhere especially without Brandon Jacobs? Packers defense is better & Giants defense won't stop scoreless Packers offense. I'll take Packers.

7) Jags -10 1/2 over Falcons in Jacksonville. Jags score little, but Falcons score less. JAGUARS

8) Saints -3 1/2 over Buccaneers in Tampa. No Cadillac Williams, banged up Jeff Garcia, & David Boston released. People wondered why Gruden kept four QB's? He's gonna need all he can get behind his swiss cheese offensive line. SAINTS in a romp.

9) Lions -3 over Vikings in Detroit. HMMMMMMMMM!!!! Lions offense on a big role. Raiders paid the price last week, Cowboys end of last season. Vikings are enigmatic, Lions are intriguing. I'll take Lions.

10) Cowboys -4 over Dolphins in Miami. OK now. Cowboys scored 45 , but that was against the Giants defense. They gave up 35 to Eli Manning????? The Dolphins lost in DC to a mediocre Skins team at best. HMMMMM. Dolphins are tough at home. I'm betting their defense can step up & their offense can find a way to score on a defense minus Jason Ferguson & Greg Ellis. I'll take Dolphins.

11) Seahawks -3 over Cardinals in Arizona. Seahawks know how to win close games & the Cardinals still find ways to lose close games like last Monday. I'll take Seahawks.

12) Ravens -10 over Jets in Baltimore. Kellen Clemens or Kyle Boller???? I'll take the Ravens

13) Broncos -10 over Raiders in Denver. Shanahan loves to beat down on the Raiders. I'll take Broncos.

14) Bears -12 over Chiefs in Chicago. As high as this line is, even Rex Grossman can't this up. I'll take the BEARS

15) Patriots -3 1/2 over Chargers in New England. Too many weapons for Chargers to cover. I'll take the Patriots.

16) Eagles -7 over Redskins in Philly. Divisional rivalry. If the Redskins can run, they'll cover, but I'm betting the Eagles understand the urgency. I'll take Eagles
