TOP 300 MOVIES OF ALL TIME: #280- THRONE OF BLOOD (1957)

Only in the world of film is it possible for Shakespeare's "Macbeth" to find its best version set in Medieval Japan. That is, however the truth of  Akira Kurosawa's "Throne of Blood". This is the first of his work to transplant Shakespeare.

Toshiro Mifune plays the equivalent lead and all the functions of "Macbeth" find their way into the drama. The murder of his lord, thr guilt of the act and the revenge of his kin

It includes witches prophesying the ultimate demise and a forrest moving in for the kill. A great movie.
