New Orleans Saints (-5.5) over Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings are looking for payback and the absence of Darren Sharper may help. There is no Sidney Rice for Minnesota or Chester Taylor. The Saints will bring the pressure. but that Vikings defense is pissed that they didn't get to Brees last year too. Favre isn't as mobile and this is the first home game since the Super Bowl for the Saints. I think the Vikings will avoid the turnovers and cover. Five and a half is too much I think.

Saints by 7. Favre will need a week or two to shake off the rust. Saints still living off the high.
Starting the season with a redux of last year's NFC championship game? Favre has had 19 seasons to shake off the rust. I'll take the Vikings and the points. They may win outright. Key to victory = Adrian Peterson.
