A GREAT COMMENTARY FROM "REAGANITE REPUBLICAN"

From: Reaganite Republican

Hey RNC, get this through your big fat skulls:

I will never, ever vote for Mitt Romney... never

Baloo

A month ago -when the Republican primary contest began to get ugly- it already seemed intra-party chasms that developed over this cycle would be taking some time to heal. We all still assumed that 'anybody but Obama' would get us together in the end, though...yet no longer: there's simply no dealing with the self-serving syndicate that's re-written history and gang-raped Newt Gingrich just to stick us with some fake conservative scumbag. The TEA Party movement is on the verge of extinction if we fail to go on the offensive- and I mean now.

With Romney riding a Florida surge brought about by a widespread RNC/MSM/Drudge/Coulter conspiracy against Newt, the damage is done... Mr Magic Underpants is suddenly pulling-away: apparently the ruinous (to the GOP) assault on Gingrich has succeeded in swaying just enough pudding-heads down there to hand him victory tomorrow, and thus sending Romney along towards his long-planned coronation.

But the unprincipled behavior, mediocre political talent, and almost total lack of message (other than the ceaseless drone of negative attack ads) has me convinced that Mittens isn't going to beat Obama in November- especially when you consider a boiling-mad TEA Party and the independent campaigns (Paul, Trump) a Romney nomination all but assures.

The same ones trashing Gingrich are also shielding the voters from Willard's many dubious dealings, but who would expect the MSM/Left to be quite so helpful come the fall. And don't talk about money, either... Obama's got more... much more! Since Romney has no leg to stand on but well-financed politics of destruction (and he's not all that different from the incumbent) as GOP nominee he would enjoy no notable advantages in November.

If we could take anything positive from such a catastrophe, perhaps it would be the future ability to bring conservatives to power in this country to deal with whatever ashes remain in 2016.

The RNC has always tried to stick us with party suck-ups... and it's always cost us. But after McLame got whupped in 2008, many on the Right thought there may be a sliver lining this time, in that the TEA Party and electorate in general would now line-up behind a true Reaganite conservative to set things right... "To get a Reagan, it takes a Carter' and such.

Yet that was not to be: if things continue the way they're going, we're about to be stuck with yet another squish- one that also happens to also be a utterly ruthless piece of crap: The Wall Street Journal called the coordinated attacks on Gingrich 'unprecedented', while the 'Stalin-esque' re-writing of history employed in neutralizing his Reaganite credentials has the Gipper spinning in his grave @ 10,000rpm.

The race is not over after Florida, Newt still leads nationally, and he pledges to fight on to the (brokered?) convention. The former House Speaker feels the Right is slowly consolidating and has a plan to trounce Romney on Super Tuesday, including a big win in his home state of Georgia that would instantly put Newt out front in the delegate count (last time I checked he was polling 65%).

But if they do manage to make Romney the Republican nominee against the majority of the party's wishes -which most punters still see to be the most likely outcome- we must face some grim realities:

Romney/RNC/MSM have systematically destroyed each and every conservative candidate we've told them we'd prefer... same as they did to Sarah Palin. Since Romney has spent millions of dollars campaigning for five years and still can't get much more than a third of the vote, he apparently sees no other route to the White House other eliminating actual conservatives from the race. The shameful character assassination employed in doing this had no limits: Bachmann, Cain, Gingrich... did these patriots deserve any of this? How did we allow it?

A vote for Romney is a vote for ObamaCare-ad-infinitum. Republicans are now being forced into pulling the lever for this- when most of us consider repeal of ObamaCare as a litmus test for presidential candidates! How did the party we saved in 2010 respond? GOP to TEA Party: 'You'll get nothing... and like it." They think you have nowhere else to go- but they are wrong.

This is the type of manipulation/denial of basic democratic rights that stoke the flames of revolution: I advocate a peaceful revolution to destroy the Republican Party establishment, if not the party in it's entirety (if it cannot be conquered). This can be brought about by denying Romney votes (and the White House) while boycotting all the politicians and pundits that enabled it.

CUT THEM OFF, people.

As floated by Bill Jacobson at Legal Insurrection, the strategy could take the form of a new, aggressive TEA Party movement to focus on taking back the Senate while building a larger majority in The House to either keep a lid on Romney OR constrain, control, and investigate Obama for the next four years. Voters prefer split government anyway... Obama -if victorious- would not have any coattails this time, much of that due to the fact that over half the country doesn't really trust him.

I would add that I -for the first time ever- am open to a third party candidate (Palin?) if Team Romney and the RNC are not willing to allow Newt to compete on the issues.

Look, a Romney nomination all but ensures Ron Paul -and maybe Trump- will be there anyway. Don't let anybody tell you you have to vote for Romney... YOU DO NOT: the problem is Mittens as nominee (and the rigged process that is getting him there), not our lack of willingness to lay back and learn to enjoy it!

Since even the monumential failure of Obama brought us just another morally warped, big-government DIABLO -when a clear majority of Republicans have been begging for a conservative- perhaps it will take eight years then... so be it. Mitt Romney is precious little improvement imho, and the TEA Party would be best served by opposing Mittens as we do Obama... he'll hurt the right more than help it, and the damage has already begun.

Any Reaganite can tell you appeasement of a ruthless and determined enemy will never bring you peace nor motivate them to respect your ideals: After this one, I AM THROUGH appeasing a DC establishment that wouldn't spit on the TEA Party if it's hair was on fire. We told them multiple times we'd like to elect someone else... and they've told us to lump it.

The GOP old-guard is a cabal not unlike the Chicago Machine: (working primarily to protect their own self-interest) They will be out for revenge upon all who opposed them... we might as well cut them off at the knees while we still can.

Crazy talk from a disheartened Newt supporter? Hardly- consider that up-and-coming conservative hero Allen West is already be re-districted out of a seat by the Florida GOP. The man leading this blatant act of retribution? Romney's Florida campaign spokesman!

Look what they did to Palin.... look what they did to Cain.

Simply put: HIT THEM HARD pre-emptively with the only weapons we have (yet all we need): If Romney wins the nomination, I plan to: quit the Republican Party... ignore Romney... focus on congressional races... and boycott RNC donations, as well as the election of Romney allies, and purchases, links, or any other form of support for Drudge, Ann Coulter, Jennifer Rubin, Charles Krauthammer, George Will, David Limbaugh, et. al (comprehensive black list pending). We need to primary people like Juan McTaco, too. The New Media Right will promptly step-up to fill any journalistic gap left by the forced retirement of these discredited RNC hacks.

Note: if Romney is nominated, I will also immediately change the name of this blog (my political shield-and-sword from the day Obama was elected) to 'Reaganite Independent'... count on it.

You're never going to be president, Mitt... screw you
