Veterans' Cemetery in Houston Accused of Censoring Religious Speech

From: CNSnews.com

From The Houston Chronicle: Local veterans and volunteer groups say officials with the Department of Veterans Affairs are censoring their religious speech — including the word "God" -- at Houston National Cemetery.

In one example, cited in documents filed this week in federal court, cemetery director Arleen Ocasio reportedly told volunteers who attend veterans' funerals to stop telling families "God bless you." The volunteers say they also were told to remove the words "God bless" from condolence cards.

"It's just unfair that somebody would ask us to take God out of our vocabulary," the newspaper quoted one volunteer as saying.
