NFL PICKS WEEK FOUR 2014

I was 10-6 last week. John was  7-9. Our records are 25-23 & 26-22 respectively.

I took the Redskins on Thursday. John took the Giants. Wow! Kirk Cousins sure made us forget about RG III huh?

Here are this weeks' picks:

1.) Miami Dolphins (1-2) in London (-4) vs. Oakland Raiders (0-3)

Too many points for the Dolphins.

PREDICTION: RAIDERS TO COVER

2.) Green Bay Packers (1-2) (-2) at Chicago Bears (2-1)

Neither Eddie Lacy or Matt Forte have played well this season, but for Forte it's because he hasn't featured. That is fixable and the difference.

PREDICTION: BEARS

3.) Houston Texans (2-1) at home (-3) vs. Buffalo Bills (2-1)

Which team is for real? I don't know. I'll go with the home team.

PREDICTION: TEXANS

4.) Indianapolis Colts (1-2) at home (-7.5) vs. Tennessee Titans (1-2)

Charlie Whitehurst is starting at QB for the Titans.

PREDICTION: COLTS

5.) Baltimore Ravens (-3.5) at home vs. Carolina Panthers (2-1)

Too many points.

PREDICTION: RAVENS

6.) Detroit Lions (2-1) (-2) at New York Jets (1-2)

Geno Smith at home vs. Detroit on the road. Jets secondary vs. Megatron. Hmmmm

PREDICTION: LIONS

7.) Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1) at home vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-3)

So easy to pick.

PREDICTION: STEELERS

8.) San Diego Chargers (2-1) at home (-13) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-3)

I like Blake Bortles but not in San Diego.

PREDICTION: CHARGERS

9.) San Francisco 49ers (1-2) at home (-4.5) vs. Philadelphia Eagles (3-0)

Nick Foles proved he is real. The 49ers need a win. Too many points.

PREDICTION: EAGLES

10.) Atlanta Falcons (2-1) (-3) at Minnesota Vikings (1-2)

Easy.

PREDICTION: FALCONS

11.) New Orleans Saints (1-2) (-3) at Dallas Cowboys (2-1)

Saints on the road?

PREDICTION: COWBOYS

12.) New England Patriots (2-1) (-3) at Kansas City Chiefs (1-2)

The Pats are not the same.

PREDICTION: CHIEFS

NFL PICKS WEEK THREE 2014

John 11-5 and I was 7-9 last week. That brings our season records to 19-13 & 16-17 respectively.

We both took the BUCS on Thursday getting  (-6.5). Go figure.

1.) Buffalo Bills (2-0) at home (-2) vs. San Diego Chargers (1-1)

The Chargers are always within striking distance, but the loss of Ryan Mathews makes them a tough sell on the east coast,

PREDICTION: BILLS

2.) Dallas Cowboys (1-1) (-1.5) at St. Louis Rams (1-1)

The spread makes no sense.

PREDICTION: COWBOYS

3.) Philadelphia Eagles (2-0) at home (-6) vs. Washington Redskins (1-1)

The Redskins, unlike the Colts will pressure the QB, but it won't be enough.

PREDICTION: EAGLES

4.) Houston Texans (2-0) (EVEN) at New York Giants ((0-2)

Even??? Someone in Vegas is smoking crack.

5.) New Orleans Saints (0-2) at home (-10.5) vs. Minnesota Vikings (1-1)

The Vikings are fucked.

PREDICTION: SAINTS

6.) Cincinnati Bengals (2-0) at home (-7) vs. Tennessee Titans (1-1)

The Bengals not only do not lose at home, they dominate at home.

PREDICTION: BENGALS

7.) Baltimore Ravens (1-1) (-2.5) at Cleveland Browns (1-1)

The Browns defense is simply better.

PREDICTION: BROWNS

8.) Detroit Lions (1-1) at home (-2) vs. Green Bay Packers (1-1)

The Lions are better at home

PREDICTION: LIONS

9.) Indianapolis Colts (0-2) (-7.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2)

The Colts have serious issues, but not enough to keep them from beating the JAGS.

PREDICTION: COLTS

10.) New England Patriots (1-1) at home (-14) vs. Oakland Raiders (0-2)

Fourteen is a lot but it is the Raiders.

PREDICTION: PATRIOTS

11.) San Francisco 49ers (1-1) (-3) at Arizona (2-0)

Drew Stanton or not I just have a gut feeling.

PREDICTION: CARDINALS

12) Seattle Seahawks (1-1) at home (-4.5) vs. Denver Broncos (2-0)

Show me Denver

PREDICTION: SEAHAWKS

13.) Miami Dolphins (1-1) at home (-3.5) vs. Kansas City Chiefs (0-2)

I'm going with my gut.

PREDICTION: CHIEFS

14.) Carolina Panthers (2-0) at home (-3.5) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (1-1)

The Steelers offense is no match for the Panthers defense.

PREDICTION: PANTHERS

15.) New York Jets (1-1) at home (-2.5) vs. Chicago Bears (1-1)

The Bears defense can't stop the run.

PREDICTION: JETS

NFL PICKS, WEEK TWO 2014

John and I were both 8-8 last week. We both underestimated the Ravens on Thursday and took the Steelers.

Here are this weeks' picks:

1.) Carolina Panthers (1-0) at home (-2.5) vs. Detroit Lions (1-0)

Cam Newton is chomping at the bit and I'm not taking the Lions on the road.

PREDICTION: PANTHERS

2.) Buffalo Bills (1-0) at home (EVEN) vs. Miami Dolphins (1-)

Even is a good judgement. I'll take the home team.

PREDICTION: BILLS

3.) Washington Redskins (0-1) at home (-5.5) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-1)

The Jags are not a four quarter team.

PREDICTION: REDSKINS

4.) Tennessee Titans (1-0) at home (-3.5) vs. Dallas Cowboys (0-1)

Are the Cowboys as bad as they looked last week? I'm not so sure. But.....

PREDICTION: TITANS

5.) Arizona Cardinals (1-0) (-2.5) at New York Giants (0-1)

In prior years picking the GMEN was a no brainer, but the Giants are finding ways to lose.

PREDICTION: CARDINALS

6.) New England Patriots (0-1) (-6.5) at Minnesota Vikings (1-0)

No AP (WTF?) and the Pats are staring down an 0-2 start?

PREDICTION: PATRIOTS

7.) New Orleans Saints (0-1) (-6.5) at Cleveland Browns (0-1)

Too many points.

PREDICTION: BROWNS TO COVER

8.) Cincinnati Bengals (1-0) at home (-5.5) vs. Atlanta Falcons (1-0)

Too many points again.

PREDICTION: FALCONS TO COVER

9.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1) at home vs. St. Louis Rams (0-1)

I don't like the points but the Rams are destined for the first overall pick in next years' draft.

PREDICTION: BUCCANEERS

10.) Seattle Seahawks (1-0) (-6) at San Diego Chargers (0-1)

I'm tempted to take the Chargers to cover, but would feel too foolish.

PREDICTION: SEAHAWKS

11.) Houston Texans (1-0) (-3) at Oakland Raiders (0-1)

Until they show different I won't pick the Raiders.

PREDICTION: TEXANS

12.) Green Bay Packers (0-1) at home (-8) vs. New York Jets (1-0)

Again, too many points.

PREDICTION: JETS TO COVER

13.) Denver Broncos (1-0) at home (-12.5) vs. Kansas City Chiefs (0-1)

A lot of points for a historic division rivalry, but the Chiefs are in disarray.

PREDICTION: BRONCOS

14.) San Francisco 49ers (1-0) at home (-7) vs. Chicago Bears (0-1)

The Bears defense can't stop the run and you can't win if you can't stop the run and certainly not if you're in San Francisco.

PREDICTION: 49ERS

15.) Indianapolis Colts (0-1) at home vs, Philadelphia Eagles (1-0)

The Colts are just a better football team.

PREDICTION: COLTS
