NFL PICKS & FOLLOW UP 10/19-10/20 2008

I was 6-8 last week bringing my total to 45-41-1. John was 5-9, bringing his season record to 44-42-1.

Here are this weeks picks:

Tennessee -9 At Kansas City:

Kansas City sucks but is tough at home. It won't matter. Larry Johnson is out & Tony Gonzalez is pissed. The Titans will run the ball & stuff KC. I'll take the TITANS

At Buffalo -1 San Diego:

San Diego is the chic pick here. Buffalo gets TRent Edwards back, they're difficult at home & it's a 1pm start for an inconsistent but highly talented Chargers team. I'll take the BILLS

Pittsburgh -9.5 At Cincinnati:

Carson Palmer is out which is good for him, Pittsburg doesn't light it up, but any spirit is gone in the Bengals. I'll take the STEELERS

At Miami -3 Baltimore

Miami is coming off a devastating defeat to Houston in a dramatic ending. Baltimore, even with talented young QB Joe Flacco is being exposed on offense. Grudgingly, I'll take the DOLPHINS

Dallas -7 At St. Louis:

Tony Romo is playing with a busted pinky behind a line that can't block. As bad as the the Rams looked before last weeks stunning victory over the Redskins, they have enough talent at home to keep the Cowboys honest. I'll take the RAMS to cover.

At Chicago -3 Minnesota

A battle for first place. 3 is too much in this rivalry though. I'll take the VIKINGS to cover

At Carolina -3 New Orleans:

The Saints don't have a run defense & the Panthers can run the ball. I'll take the PANTHERS

At NY Giants -10.5 San Francisco

INteresting game. 49ers stayed with the Eagles until they collapsed in the 4th quarter.THey don't have enough & Giants are smarting from their Monday night letdown. I'll take the GIANTS

At Houston -9.5 Detroit

The Lions have packed it in. I'll take the TEXANS

NY Jets -3 At Oakland

Favre lights it up. I'll take the JETS

At Washington -7.5 Cleveland

Cleveland had a big win on Monday night & the Skins had an historic letdown against the Rams. I'm betting Cleveland has their game back & Derek Anderson can light up a soft DC secondary. I'll take the BROWNS.

Indianapolis -1 At Green Bay

The Colts are back to their old ways. The Pack have no shot at Lambeau. I'll take the COLTS

At Tampa Bay -10.5 Seattle

The Bucs for the first time will get little attention by Bay Area fans as the Red Sox have forced a prime time Game 7 with the RAYS opposite this game on television. Seattle looks as bad as they feel. I hate the spread, but I'll take the BUCS

At New England -3 Denver

Even at home & a soft Denver defense, the Pats don't have enough offense. I'll take the BRONCOS
